This shout out is going to my Awesome Son and Strong Man Jacob Haynes and his Platoon. Know that I am praying for you Jake. My life verse that I hope encourages you all is 1 Cor 15:58. NIV says it this way "Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."
The Message version says this "With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don't hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort." ...So I love you guys Be Strong, Don't hold back and stand firm!!! Dad

can we leave videos for the interns this year, Mr. Stoner? Like the ones shown after the movies last year?

Stand arms high and heart abandoned, all you have is His!

Prayers for all of you, especially for the young man with a fat ankle and the joy of the Lord strengthening him as he leads the New York Company platoon.

Brittany, this verse spoke to me today and I pray that it will help you to endure and hold on to Him. "Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls." 1Peter 1:8-9

Keep that joy in your heart, dear girl. Focus on Him and the work he has begun. I love you so... Mom

Lexi Gurrola, dad and I are praying this verse over you today on your first full day of ESOAL. Deuteronomy 31:6-"Be strong and courageious; don't be terrified or afraid of them. For it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not leave you or forsake you."
No matter how tired or cold or worn out you are never in this alone. He is right there with you and so are we in heart. We love you so very much.

Sam Chapman- Today is the first full day and I know it will test your limits in many areas so we are praying Isaiah 41:10 specifically over you today. "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am you God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand".
Just know not only in esoal but in life, you are never alone for YOUR God is right beside you holding you firm. And your families back home are with you in heart and love you like crazy.

I woke up several times in the middle of the night, thinking about these amazing young men and women, about to purposely make the next several days uncomfortable and somewhat painful for themselves - and all because they love the Lord with all their hearts and want to do what He's called them to do! I find Acts 7:34-60 amazing, especially v55 "But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God." I know you guys aren't being stoned, but it's so great that if you focus on God and not on your circumstances, all you'll see is God! Know that I'm praying for you, Joel and Kyler, and each one of you incredible interns, and what God is doing in your lives this weekend! Remember to focus on the Lord, and He will sustain you through this time! You are awesome!

Chris, I have been praying for you and your platoon. Remember that it's not our strength but "we can do all things through Christ who is our strength".
Love you and can't wait to hear what God shows you through this experience.

Rhett,

As you continue through this day - 1 of 3 which are completely set aside for ESOAL, I pray you allow God's victorious right hand to hold you up and to lead you forward!

Is 57:15 says: For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:

“ I dwell in the high and holy place,
With him who has a contrite and humble spirit,
To revive the spirit of the humble,
And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Prayers, fasting, and love!

Sarah, I am so excited for what God is doing in your life. As you go through this difficult experience know that I am there with you in spirit, but greater than that, He is with you and knows your every need. Be strong in Him and in the POWER of His MIGHT. I am praying for you and can't get you off my mind and heart.

Just when you think you can't do any more, focus on serving and helping the others, and allow Christ to strengthen and encourage you.

I love you,

Praying for you and I know that you are well equipped for this, but more importantly, Jesus will hold you up during this, your good sacrifice for Him. It's all about Him. Someday, you'll be in the mission field and look back and say "I'm so glad that Daddy God prepared me for this."
Blessings,

Kayla Richardson, many people have been and continue praying for you and your platoon. Your Dad and I have known you had the strength to persevere ever since you were little. Use that in your pursuit of God's strength and guidance. Eph 6:10-13 "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand...13and after you have done everything to stand." We love you!
GO INTERNS!

Sunshine, you are and have always one of the strongest people I know. Not because of your physical, mental, and emotional strength but because you know your strength comes only from the Lord. I know you maybe tired but dig deep and continue to ask God to be your driving force. I know you can do this, I know you can handle this, I know you can complete this! My verse for you today is, Exodus 15:2, which says, "The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him." He is your God-use Him, rely on Him, focus on Him, surrender to Him and He will will lead you to the finish line. I love you! -Ace

Hey bud. I know you have started your journery through Esoal. By now you maybe tired and weary but Sam, God is in control and He's always with you! Even as you hear this God is right there next to you with every step you take. My verse today for you is, Isaiah 58:11, which says, "The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail." You will never fail if you depend on God! Dig deep Sam and know God's got your back! Love you! -Ace
